Street Fighter 6 supposedly innovates on the traditional fighting formula by incorporating unique game modes not included in the past installments. The reveal trailer led to a storm of whirring in the community, with fans completely accepting the game’s new modernistic look. The game development process has been steady, and the release date may be announced down the road. Registration for Evo closes tonight, so time is almost up to sign up for the big event.Street Fighter 6 is Capcom’s latest endeavor that has been brewing for almost half a decade. Capcom 3, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate and Melty Blood: Type Lumina. The other mainstage titles for Evo includes Guilty Gear Strive, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters 15, Ultimate Marvel vs. We don't yet know just how many people will be competing in SF6 at Evo, but it's at least greater than the previous highest record for any game, Street Fighter 5's 5,065 entrants from 2016.Įvo 2023 is scheduled to go down in Las Vegas, Nevada from August 4-6, and Street Fighter 6 won't be the only game having a big year there. Of course, we are supremely interested to see how many players will actually be attempting to use Rashid at Evo with only 12 days of practice compared to two months everyone else has had with the rest of the cast and how far they can make it. We presume the developers probably won't make a habit out of this moving forward, but at the end of the day, this is Capcom's game and their events to basically handle how they wish. Wait are people actually mad about rashid being legal at evo i thought everyone was just doing posts- Broski July 9, 2023 It's perfectly valid to feel unhappy with Capcom releasing Rashid close to Evo or disagree with the rule, but it falls in line with what their rules have been for over seven years. The Capcom Pro Tour has used the rules of characters and updates are legal after seven days, which has been in place since the very beginning of Street Fighter 5 back in 2016 - it just hasn't come up all that often in regard to major events. Since Evo 2023 is part of the Capcom Pro Tour, some of their rules and regulations will supersede those of Evo's, including those for characters. Typically, new characters and balance updates are required to be available in a game for at least one month before they can be tournament legal, but that's not the case here. Some are pointing out that it's not like players already have everything figured out and labbed in the game anyway, and it's a potential handicap that everyone is going to have to deal with - even Rashid players. This sentiment is seemingly shared across various levels of seriousness in the vocal community though not everyone agrees that this is as big of a deal as they're making it out to be. ![]() This new age mentality of tournaments being secondary is whack af." Rashid being tournament legal at evo is actually a troll. Obviously, some competitors are concerned about the perceived lack of time to prepare for a wild card new character at an absolutely massive event and aren't holding back from saying so. Rashid is scheduled to launch as SF6's first post-release fighter on July 24, and that's just 12 days before the start of Evo on August 4.
